Base
The Shady Nook has the only full service bar and restaurant in Salmon Idaho. We serve the finest quality steaks, fresh fish, home smoked baby back ribs and organic chicken. Great bar food and the best burger you could have. We have a wonderful outdoor patio with two fire pits and heaters for those cool nights. Our hours are 7 nights open at 4. Sundays open at 11 am for bbq & cocktails on the patio. We take pride in everything we do and thrive on giving you the best dining experience on your trip. Reservations are appreciated and big groups welcome.

Great staff, wonderfully delicious steak for myself and cedar planked salmon for my wife. The dessert was amazing too.

This place was recommended by the front desk at the hotel we stayed at. My husband and I both had burgers. Absolute best burgers we have EVER had. We will make the 4 hour drive from home just to eat here again. Highly recommend!

Our family had dinner there a year ago and enjoyed it so much we went back again this year. The service and food are very good. Two of our party were celebrating birthdays, The staff sang Happy Birthday and brought out two huge desserts. Everyone at the table had a few bites of each. Excellent! We will go back again next year!!!

Don't be fooled by the appearance of this restaurant. Four of us ate here and the food was well prepared, delicious and very reasonably priced. Cassie was an excellent and attentive server. I had the chicken Roma which was tender and the sauce delicious. My friends had two different meat dishes and another the Idaho trout. All said their food was great. I had a chocolate lava cake and coffee. Both were good. We all agreed the food and service were great. Look past the exterior for a great meal.

Good food, great service, welcoming atmosphere....limited menu other than steaks. The special of coconut crusted halibut with sweet chili aioli was awesome, but I found 4 large bones. I will still go back...the bar area looked fun!!
